This Ain’t No Disco

Associate Video & Projection Design for Theatre

This Ain’t No Disco, a new rock opera with a score by Stephen Trask, interweaves the stories of strivers, dreamers and drifters searching for their place at Studio 54 in the late 1970s. In their uptown/downtown quest for revelry and kinship, this disparate group, in different stages of becoming and falling apart, find themselves and each other in a city on the verge of a massive cultural shift.

Aaron Rhyne’s video design featured stylized archival images and film footage of locations and iconography from New York City during the heyday of Studio 54. I collaborated on and created a multitude of 2D and 3D still and motion content for projection and screen display.
