Rear Window: 2D Film to 3D Model

Alfred Hitchcock’s film Rear Window premiered on August 1, 1954. The film, a voyeuristic thriller set around a courtyard at 125 West Ninth Avenue, is a fictional location based on an actual address, 125 Christopher Street in Greenwich Village in NYC.

In exploring a metaphorical overlap between the real world and the reel world, Rear Window: 2D Film to 3D Model is an inaugural experiment in using photogrammetry workflows to transform analogue two dimensional film reels into digital three dimensional models.
