Edward II, written by Christopher Marlowe, charts the rise and fall of the eponymous king, famous for his queer relationship with the nobleman Piers of Gaveston and the social oppression and eventual regicide that resulted from a fear-based culture of the outsider.
The video design consisted of a system of 6 live cameras which constantly switched, surveilled, and surrounded the court, creating an atmosphere meant to illuminate acts of voyeurism and explore power dynamics.
